It runs the mechanical proofreading checks (spacing, punctuation, APA word forms, citations against the reference list, repeated sentences, table notes, indents) and gives you the same file back with every fix as a tracked change to accept or reject. It cannot judge meaning — a sentence that stops halfway or says "five" before a list of six still needs a human read. Works for dissertations, journal articles and psychoeducational reports.

The "look at by hand" list points at a paragraph; it does not guess the wording. The reading part (meaning, logic, which of two same-named papers a citation means) still needs a person, or an AI assistant you trust, reading the whole thing.
